Homemade strawberry simple syrup recipe using fresh strawberries, sugar, and water. Great for iced coffee, lattes, and drinks.
- 1 cup (240 g) Strawberries fresh or frozen
- 1 cup (250 g) Sugar
- 1 cup (250 ml) Water
Add strawberries, sugar, and water to a saucepan.
Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves.
Simmer for 15–20 minutes, stirring occasionally and lightly mashing berries.
Remove from heat and strain through a fine-mesh sieve.
Cool completely before storing in the refrigerator.
Use ripe, flavorful strawberries for the best color and sweetness.
Frozen works well too and often gives a deeper color since they break down faster.
Mash lightly to release juice without making the syrup cloudy.
Store refrigerated for up to 2 weeks or freeze for longer storage.
